On Saturday master breadmakers Bryce and Ross will take you through the steps of making bread without commercial yeast along with instructions for the caring and feeding of your own starter.  When you have finished this class, you will have the confidence to not only bake using your own sourdough starter, you will be ready for more advanced sourdough baking techniques which will enable you to bake all sorts of sourdough artisan breads.

Praying with Bread

with Bryce & Jody Johnson

December 5th from 1:00-5:00 PM.

at Christos Retreat Center

There is a God given rhythm to life which must be honored.  It is like bread making, which has a rhythm of work and rest.  It is at the heart of our spiritual lives, action and solitude. This is a hands-on bread making class interspersed with time for the Spirit to rise within through contemplative prayer.

Jody Johnson is a retired psychotherapist and certified Centering Prayer instructor.
