The word companion literally means “with bread.” Thus, a companion is someone with whom you break bread. At Companion Breads it is our joy to create hearty hearth baked breads for you to share with family and friends. At Companion Breads we produce a mix of naturally leavened (sourdough) and yeasted breads, using locally grown and milled grain. All bread is baked in our wood-fired brick oven in Mahtomedi, Minnesota.

We use all organic flour, the bulk of it locally grown and freshly milled. We sell our breads through our Community Supported Bakery (CSB). Every Thursday is bread day! Subscribers pick up at our home in Mahtomedi. A new CSB begins April 8th. To order go to the Current Subscriptions page.
